Why we make bentonite clay soap.
Bentonite is a mineral-rich clay formed from volcanic ash. When it meets water it swells and binds to surface oil, dead skin cells, and grime — the reason it has been used in skincare for centuries and still shows up in every serious clay mask.
In a soap bar, bentonite gives a soft, silky lather that leaves skin balanced instead of tight. Our bentonite clay bars pair the clay with grass-fed tallow, olive oil and shea butter so the cleansing side never crosses into drying. They're formulated for oily and combination skin — and gentle enough to use daily on the face and body.
Because every bar cures for 6 to 8 weeks before shipping, the lather is denser and the bar lasts noticeably longer than melt-and-pour or mass-produced alternatives.
