Activated charcoal is carbonized at high heat until its surface becomes microscopically porous — that's what gives it the ability to trap oil and impurities much more effectively than plain soap. It's the same ingredient dermatologists reach for when they want a genuinely deep-cleansing bar without acids or aggressive surfactants.

Our charcoal bars pair activated charcoal with tamanu oil, coconut oil, and shea butter — so the deep clean is balanced by real hydration. The result is a bar that clarifies without leaving skin tight, and works just as well on the body as it does on the face.

Every bar is cold-processed and cured for 6 to 8 weeks before it ships. That long cure is what makes the lather velvety instead of squeaky, and what makes each bar last two to three times longer than a factory-poured equivalent.
