Artisan soap is soap made by hand in small batches instead of on a factory line. Ours is weighed, mixed, poured and cut by hand in our Los Angeles workshop, then cured 6–8 weeks before it ships.

Why we make artisan soap.
Each batch makes 13 bars. Small batches mean every bar is checked before it ships, and colors and swirls vary a little from bar to bar.
Bases use plant oils and butters such as olive, coconut, shea, cocoa and mango; some bars use grass-fed tallow. Botanicals, clays, goat milk, honey or oats are added depending on the bar.
Every product page lists the complete ingredients, including fragrance, so you can choose with confidence.

- What makes soap “artisan”?
- It's made by hand in small batches rather than mass-produced. Our bars are made 13 at a time in Los Angeles and cured 6–8 weeks.
- Is artisan soap better than store-bought soap?
- It's different. Many store bars are synthetic detergent bars; ours are true cold-process soap made from oils and butters, and the natural glycerin stays in every bar. Which you prefer comes down to how your skin feels.
- Why does each bar look slightly different?
- Every bar is poured and cut by hand, so colors, swirls and edges vary a little from batch to batch.
- How do I make an artisan soap bar last?
- Keep it on a draining soap dish out of the direct shower stream and let it dry between uses.
